Supplier Management
Supplier Management for Custom Manufacturing in China
If your company already works with several Chinese factories, adding another supplier may not solve the real problem. The time spent qualifying vendors, clarifying drawings, chasing updates, resolving quality issues, and coordinating deliveries can outweigh the savings on individual parts.
BGCNC (Better Global CNC) gives you one team to coordinate a flexible network of manufacturing partners in Dongguan and the Pearl River Delta. We manage supplier selection, day-to-day communication, production follow-up, and quality coordination across processes—so your team can work with multiple factories without managing each one directly.
One point of contact for a multi-process supply chain
A project may call for CNC-machined housings, sheet metal brackets, molded plastic components, and finishing from different specialists. Managing each factory separately can create extra work for engineering, purchasing, and operations.
We coordinate those manufacturing resources through one BGCNC team. You share your requirements with us; we match the work to suitable suppliers and manage communication and follow-up across the project. This keeps your access to different processes while reducing the time your staff spends handling supplier administration.
Our network includes more than 50 proven manufacturing partners, selected through real project cooperation. We also evaluate a broader pool of suppliers in China and continue to assess partners for capability, quality consistency, delivery performance, engineering support, responsiveness, and production capacity.

What supplier management covers
Supplier management is more than finding a factory that can make a part. It means keeping requirements, production activity, and quality expectations aligned throughout the order.
| Management activity | What we coordinate | What your team gains |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier evaluation | Match process, material, geometry, quantity, quality needs, lead time, and target cost to supplier capability | A supplier selected for the specific project, rather than a one-size-fits-all factory |
| Technical communication | Clarify drawings, specifications, finishing requirements, and open engineering questions | Fewer avoidable misunderstandings between your team and production |
| Production follow-up | Track progress with the relevant suppliers and communicate project updates | Better visibility without your team chasing multiple factories |
| Quality coordination | Align inspection expectations, review issues, and coordinate corrective action with the supplier | A clear route for addressing nonconforming parts and production concerns |
| Delivery coordination | Follow up on supplier schedules and coordinate handoffs across processes | Fewer separate delivery conversations for multi-process work |
| Supplier performance review | Consider quality, delivery, communication, engineering support, and problem solving in future matching | Better-informed sourcing decisions as repeat work develops |
We act as your local manufacturing and supply chain interface. Your team retains control of drawings, approvals, and project decisions; we take on the supplier coordination work agreed for the order.
Manufacturing capabilities across your BOM
We match each project to the process that best fits its design, material, quantity, quality requirements, and cost target. Our network supports prototypes, custom parts, and low- to medium-volume production across multiple manufacturing methods.
CNC milling and turning
Housings, plates, shafts, brackets, and precision components. Matched on geometry, material, tolerance, quantity, and finishing.
3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining
Prismatic parts, multi-sided components, and complex machined geometry. Considering feature access, setups, dimensional control, and cost.
Sheet metal fabrication
Enclosures, frames, panels, brackets, and formed parts. Matching material and thickness, cutting, bending, welding, and finishing.
Laser cutting, bending, and welding
Cut and formed sheet components and welded assemblies. Reviewing geometry, bend details, weld requirements, and assembly interfaces.
Injection molding and tooling
Plastic components for repeat production. Balancing part design, material, expected volume, tooling investment, and unit-cost target.
3D printing
Prototypes and parts suited to additive manufacturing. Considering design intent, material needs, quantity, and the next production stage.
Die casting
Metal components that may suit repeat production at higher volumes. Assessing geometry, tooling investment, material, volume, and secondary machining.
Forging and stamping
Components where forming may be suitable. Reviewing part shape, material, tooling, production volume, and finishing operations.
Extrusion and investment casting
Profiles and cast components for selected design requirements. Matching section or geometry, material, downstream machining, and order volume.
EDM and grinding
Features or finishing requirements that call for these processes. Considering geometry, surface or dimensional requirements, and process sequence.
Plastic machining
Custom plastic components and machined features. Matching material, geometry, tolerance requirements, and production quantity.
Surface finishing and heat treatment
Parts requiring specified surface or material conditions. Aligning base material, application, specification, and inspection requirements.
Assembly and packaging
Multi-part orders and prepared shipments. Coordinating bill of materials, assembly instructions, packaging, and delivery needs. A single project may involve more than one process—we coordinate the relevant suppliers and production steps so you do not have to source and manage every operation independently.
Engineering input that can reduce total cost
Our team of 10 manufacturing engineers has more than 10 years of industry experience. We review more than whether a drawing can be produced: we look for ways to make the manufacturing route better suited to your part and order.
The result is a process recommendation based on design, material, volume, tolerance, tooling, unit cost, lead time, and product lifecycle—not just a quote for the first production run.
Discuss Your ProjectOur review may consider:
- Whether CNC machining is appropriate for the current quantity
- Whether injection molding, die casting, forging, or stamping could be more economical as volume grows
- Whether geometry can be simplified to reduce machining time
- Whether specified tolerances are necessary for function
- Whether material or finishing requirements can be optimized
- Whether secondary operations can be reduced
- How tooling investment affects unit cost and future orders
Quality, certifications, and production requirements
Quality expectations should be agreed before production begins. We coordinate project-specific requirements with the selected manufacturing partner, including inspection needs, material traceability, and documentation where required.
Partners in our network may operate under quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100D, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485. Certification availability and scope depend on the actual partner selected for the project. If a certification or specific documentation is mandatory, include it in your RFQ so we can assess the suitable supplier options.
We can also coordinate quality inspection and follow up on production issues with the supplier. The inspection scope and records depend on your requirements and the selected project arrangement.

Is this supplier management model right for your project?
Our model is particularly useful for overseas B2B companies that source custom mechanical parts in China and need several processes or suppliers to support a project.
| Your situation | How we can help |
|---|---|
| Your purchasing team spends too much time following up with multiple factories | We consolidate day-to-day supplier communication through one BGCNC team |
| Your BOM includes machined, sheet metal, molded, or finished parts | We coordinate suitable manufacturing partners across the required processes |
| Your engineering team often needs to clarify drawings with suppliers | We support technical communication and identify questions for review |
| You need prototypes before deciding on a production process | We can assess prototype routes and how the process may change at higher volumes |
| You need repeat purchasing with more consistent supplier coordination | We consider partner performance and project requirements when planning future work |
| Your local shop needs added capacity or processes | We can support China sourcing and supplier coordination for suitable outsourced work |
Typical projects involve multiple SKUs, custom parts, and low- to medium-volume orders. The network can support quantities from prototypes to larger production runs, subject to part design, process, supplier capability, and project requirements. We are less suited to one-time hobby orders or projects chosen solely on the lowest unit price.
