Sheet Metal Enclosures
Custom Sheet Metal Enclosures for Complete Products
BGCNC coordinates custom sheet metal enclosures for electronics, control systems, instrumentation, automation and communications products. We manage the path from formed and welded parts through powder coating, marking and assembly, so your team can source a finished enclosure system—not just individual panels.
Send us your drawings, models or project requirements for an engineering review and RFQ.
Enclosures are more than folded sheet metal
An enclosure has to fit the product inside it, work with its connectors and fasteners, and meet the appearance and access requirements of the finished equipment. Its design may include a cover, base, doors, brackets, mounting plates and hardware, with each part affecting fit and assembly.
We review these features as part of the complete enclosure design. A change to a bend, hole pattern or coating can affect component clearance, assembly sequence or the finished appearance.
Ventilation slots and perforations
Coordinated openings for airflow that stay aligned with internal components.
Welded or formed studs
Mounting points positioned and oriented for component mounting.
Bent flanges, returns and hems
Formed features that add strength and support fit between panels.
Cutouts for displays, switches, connectors and cable entry
Openings sized and placed for access after assembly.
Powder-coated surfaces and printed or marked labels
Finish and marking specified in the drawing or RFQ to match appearance and protection needs.
What we coordinate
Our sheet metal enclosure projects can include laser cutting, bending, welding, surface finishing and assembly. We match each project to manufacturing partners based on its geometry, material, quantity, quality requirements and schedule.
The scope depends on your design and project requirements. We confirm the applicable processes during quotation and engineering review.
Enclosure bodies and panels
Bodies, covers, panels and doors.
Internal structure
Internal plates, brackets and mounting features.
Openings and formed features
Cutouts, slots, holes, ventilation patterns and welded constructions.
Finishing and marking
Powder coating, other specified surface finishing, silk-screen printing or part marking.
Hardware and assembly
Hardware installation and assembly coordination.
Packaging and logistics
Packaging and international logistics support.
Fabrication details that affect fit and finish
Each detail below influences how the enclosure fits, assembles and looks. Review the points that apply to your project before releasing drawings to production.
We coordinate openings for connectors, displays, switches, cable glands and airflow. For electronic and control equipment, their location matters as much as their size: openings must align with internal components and remain accessible after assembly. If you can, provide the mating component or its drawing along with the enclosure files.
One coordinated route from parts to assembly
A complete enclosure program may involve several operations and suppliers. We provide one BG CNC team to coordinate engineering, manufacturing partners, quality follow-up and delivery rather than asking your purchasing team to manage every process separately.
Our manufacturing network includes more than 50 proven partners, selected and reviewed through project cooperation. We also have 10 manufacturing engineers with over 10 years of industry experience. They help assess whether the proposed fabrication route suits the design, volume and cost targets, and flag questions that could affect manufacturability or assembly.

Designed around the complete equipment build
We work with B2B teams developing or manufacturing control cabinets, instrument housings, automation equipment, communications products and electronic devices. These projects often require several related parts, such as a formed enclosure, internal mounting plate, brackets and finished front panel.
We can also support customers who have a defined design but need a China-based partner to coordinate the manufacturing supply chain.
Our model is particularly useful when a project combines:
- Multiple enclosure parts or SKUs
- Fabrication plus finishing or marking
- Low- to medium-volume production
- Prototype development followed by repeat orders
- Assembly requirements or supplier coordination
- Drawings that need manufacturing review before release
Choosing a suitable manufacturing route
The right route depends on enclosure geometry, material, quantity, finish, tolerance requirements and assembly needs. For early prototypes or low quantities, a flexible fabrication route may make sense. As demand grows, we can review whether the design or production approach should change to improve cost, consistency or lead time.
We do not assume that one process or supplier fits every project. If drawings leave a key requirement open, we’ll identify the question for discussion rather than silently making an assumption.
During review, we consider:
- Part geometry and bend or weld requirements
- Required fit with internal components and mating parts
- Quantity per order and expected repeat volume
- Finish, color, marking and inspection requirements
- Tooling or setup costs compared with unit cost
- Assembly sequence and packaging needs
Quality and project requirements
Inspection scope should reflect the features that matter to your product. Tell us which dimensions, interfaces, finish details or assembly conditions are critical, and whether you need inspection records or material traceability.
Our network includes partners operating under recognized quality systems, including ISO 9001 and, where applicable, industry-specific systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 13485 or AS9100D. Certification availability and scope depend on the manufacturing partner selected for the project. We confirm suitability against your requirements before proceeding.

What to include in your enclosure RFQ
The more complete the RFQ, the easier it is to assess the manufacturing route and prepare a useful quotation. Please include what you have available. If the design is still in development, send the latest files and note what remains undecided. We can review the available information and identify the details needed to quote.
