Low-volume plastic production
Vacuum Casting Services for High-Quality Low-Volume Parts
BGCNC helps product teams bridge the gap between 3D-printed prototypes and injection molding. Produce 10 to 100+ parts with production-like surfaces and material properties—without the upfront cost of steel tooling.
A practical choice for design validation, display samples, and market testing when you need dozens of parts but are not ready to invest in an injection mold.

From master pattern to cast parts
Silicone molds reproduce a carefully prepared master in polyurethane resins selected to suit your form, fit, appearance, and functional requirements.
How it works
A flexible mold for realistic replicas
Vacuum casting uses a master pattern—made by CNC machining or high-resolution 3D printing—to create a flexible silicone mold. Polyurethane resin is cast into that mold under vacuum to reproduce the part.
Resins can be selected to mimic production plastics such as ABS, PC, or PP. Depending on your requirements, cast parts can support form, fit, and functional testing, as well as presentation and user testing.
Review the master
Assess pattern precision, shrinkage, and the required surface finish.
Choose the resin
Select material properties to fit the part’s intended application.
Prepare for use
Coordinate finishing options such as painting, texture, or thread inserts.

Which process fits your quantity?
The most economical option depends on volume, timing, and budget. Select a typical quantity range for a starting point; our engineers review your CAD data and requirements before recommending a path.

Starting point
Vacuum casting is often a practical balance for pilot batches, with low tooling cost and moderate per-unit cost.
A fit for dozens of parts used in design validation, display samples, and market testing, before committing to hard tooling.
| Process | Typical volume | Lead time | Cost structure |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3D printing | 1–20 pcs | Very fast | Low fixed cost, high per-unit cost |
| Vacuum casting | 10–100 pcs | Moderate | Low tooling cost, moderate per-unit cost |
| Injection molding | 500+ pcs | Long | High initial tooling cost, low per-unit cost |
Built around your requirements
Manufacturing and quality, managed together
BGCNC works with a network of 50+ proven manufacturing partners in Dongguan. Rather than relying on a single shop, we match your material, tolerance, and cosmetic finish requirements to a suitable facility. Our 10 experienced manufacturing engineers manage the process from master pattern preparation through final quality inspection.
Quality checks at each stage
-
01
Master pattern review
Check pattern precision, expected shrinkage, and surface-finish requirements.
-
02
Material matching
Select resins with mechanical properties appropriate to your application.
-
03
Post-processing coordination
Coordinate painting, texture application, or thread inserts to prepare parts for assembly.
Plan beyond the pilot

Transition when volume grows
Vacuum casting is not a permanent production solution. As volumes trend toward injection molding, we can advise on when hard tooling may make sense and support the transition while preserving design intent.
One point of contact in China
BGCNC manages technical communication, production schedules, and quality oversight across suppliers—reducing the burden of coordinating international vendors yourself.
