Support through changing build stages
A coordinated manufacturing route for complex, evolving robotics BOMs.
One coordinated team
One manufacturing partner for a multi-process BOM
A robot may combine lightweight aluminum links, machined joints, shafts, precision brackets, sheet metal covers, plastic enclosures and finished or purchased components. Each item can require a different process, supplier and quality check.
We coordinate the work through one BG CNC team, giving mechanical engineering and supply chain teams a single point of contact for technical questions, supplier coordination, production status, inspection and delivery. We match each part to suitable manufacturing resources rather than forcing every item into one factory’s capabilities.
Engineering coordination
Review drawings, process choices, requirements and revisions across the BOM.
Supplier coordination
Align capable manufacturing partners, inspection needs and delivery schedules.
Prototype to production
Revisit process and cost choices as designs stabilize and demand develops.
A single point of contact
Reduce the day-to-day burden of managing separate manufacturing relationships.
Parts we manufacture
Built around the parts in your robot
We support high-mix, low- to medium-volume projects where geometry, materials and manufacturing methods vary across the BOM.
01 · Lightweight aluminum
Links, arms and structures
Arms, housings, end-effector components and structural plates, with process choices matched to geometry and quantity.
02 · Motion components
Joints, shafts and interfaces
Pivot components, actuator interfaces, spacers and precision turned parts for functional assemblies.
03 · Precision brackets
Mounts and fixtures
Sensor mounts, motor mounts, cable supports and custom fixtures designed around assembly needs.
04 · Sheet metal
Covers, chassis and frames
Panels, brackets, trays and equipment frames made through laser cutting, bending and welding.
05 · Plastic components
Housings and enclosures
Machined prototypes, molded housings, covers and protective enclosures across development stages.
06 · Prototype and assembly
Parts for the next build
Components for testing, fit checks, design changes and small production builds, with assembly and packaging support.
Share drawings, material requirements and intended quantities. We can review the scope and identify suitable processes and suppliers for each part.
Process capability
The right process for each robotics component
A single program can use several processes at once. The best route depends on geometry, material, tolerance, quantity, tooling investment and product lifecycle—not simply the part category.
- —CNC milling and turning, including 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining
- —Sheet metal laser cutting, bending and welding
- —Plastic machining, injection molding and tooling
- —3D printing for prototype parts
- —Die casting, forging, stamping and extrusion
- —EDM, grinding, surface finishing and heat treatment
- —Assembly, packaging and international logistics support
Process selection at a glance
Early-stage joint or bracket
Consider CNC machining or 3D printing, depending on material, fit, strength and test needs.
Shaft or round interface
CNC turning may suit the core form, with secondary milling or grinding where required.
Enclosure or equipment cover
Review sheet metal, plastic machining or injection molding based on shape, durability and volume.
Stable, repeat-demand component
Compare tooling investment and forecast against machining or 3D printing before moving to a tooled process.
A process that works for five prototypes may not be the most economical for repeat orders. We review design and forecast together; final selection depends on the specific part and your requirements.
Built for fast iterations
Keep revisions and production aligned
Robot designs evolve as teams test reach, payload, stiffness, thermal performance, cable routing and assembly access. Frequent revisions can create risk when drawings, suppliers and part versions are not managed carefully.
For each RFQ, specify the current revision and identify changed parts. We coordinate requirements with relevant manufacturing partners and help clarify the implications of design updates before parts move forward.
Review my robotics project-
1
Review the current design
Assess manufacturability, process choice, material, tolerance, tooling, lead time and cost implications.
-
2
Coordinate changes across suppliers
Communicate drawing revisions and project requirements to the partners responsible for each part.
-
3
Plan the next build stage
Support the transition from prototype builds to repeat orders as the design and forecast develop.
Design simplification, non-critical tolerance adjustments and reduced secondary operations can be discussed where appropriate. Any design change remains subject to your engineering approval.
Sourcing and quality
A proven network, matched to the work
BG CNC has built a core network of 50+ proven manufacturing partners through real project cooperation. We also access a broader supplier base in China and evaluate potential partners for specific project needs.
Supplier matching considers
- Process capability and part geometry
- Material and finishing requirements
- Quality consistency and inspection needs
- Production capacity and delivery performance
- Engineering responsiveness and problem solving
- Cost competitiveness and long-term reliability
Quality matched to project scope
We coordinate inspection and documentation as agreed, which may include dimensional checks, material traceability or other inspection records.
Our network includes partners with certifications such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D and ISO 13485. Availability and scope depend on the partner selected and work performed.
If your project requires a specific certification or documentation package, include it with your RFQ so we can assess the appropriate manufacturing route.
