Automotive manufacturing in China
Custom Automotive Parts, Coordinated from Prototype to Production
BGCNC coordinates custom metal and plastic parts for automotive R&D, testing equipment, motorsport, vehicle-component suppliers and production-equipment companies.
Our 10 manufacturing engineers work with a core network of 50+ proven partners in Dongguan and the Pearl River Delta to assess designs, select suitable processes and coordinate production, quality follow-up and delivery through one point of contact.

Built around your project
The right route depends on the part, order profile and quality requirements.
We assess design, material, quantity, lead time and target cost before recommending a manufacturing approach—rather than assuming every part should be CNC machined.
Multi-process capability
Manufacturing processes for automotive projects
Automotive programs can call for different methods at different stages. We coordinate processes and secondary operations based on part design, intended use, quantity and tooling economics.
CNC machining
3-, 4- and 5-axis milling and turning for prototypes, complex geometry and low-volume parts.
Sheet metal and stamping
Laser cutting, bending, welding and stamping for brackets, panels and formed components.
Casting and forging
Die casting and forging, with secondary CNC machining where the part requires it.
Injection molding and tooling
Plastic components and tooling, with process selection informed by design and expected volume.
Development and secondary operations
3D printing, EDM, grinding, surface finishing and heat treatment.
Assembly and delivery support
Coordination for assembly, packaging and logistics across multi-part projects.
Coordinated supply chain
One team across processes, parts and suppliers
Automotive projects often combine machined components, brackets, housings, formed sheet metal, plastic parts and finished assemblies. Managing each process separately can add supplier communication, scheduling and quality follow-up to an engineering team’s workload.
BGCNC coordinates suitable partners for each operation, drawing on a broader supplier base across China and a core group of 50+ partners developed and evaluated through real project cooperation. We match the work to partner capabilities instead of forcing every part into one factory’s equipment range.
How we assess a partner
- 01Process fit and capacity
Capability and production capacity for the work required. - 02Quality and delivery
Consistency, delivery performance and project-specific quality needs. - 03Engineering collaboration
Responsiveness, problem solving and fit for the project’s requirements. - 04Commercial and production fit
Cost competitiveness and reliability for the required production needs.
Route planning
Choose a manufacturing route for the project stage
A useful starting point is to distinguish between development parts, recurring low-volume orders and higher-volume production. The best option depends on the design, material, product lifecycle and total cost—not a universal volume threshold.
Keep early builds adaptable
CNC machining or 3D printing may suit development and design validation when flexibility and limited quantities matter. Sheet metal fabrication can support functional assemblies and test equipment. Our review considers geometry, tolerance, material and timing.
- Check whether the proposed process fits the part and quantity.
- Identify avoidable machining, setup cost or overly tight tolerances.
- Consider design simplification and a future move to production methods.
Compare flexibility and repeat demand
For recurring low- to medium-volume parts, compare CNC, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging or molding against the part’s geometry, material and expected order pattern. The right choice balances tooling, secondary operations, lead time and target unit cost.
For mixed-process assemblies, we can coordinate multiple suppliers when one factory is not the right fit for the full bill of materials.
Evaluate tooling against the production plan
At higher volumes, stamping, die casting or injection molding may warrant consideration when tooling investment is justified by the program. Forging may suit particular metal components, with secondary machining as required.
We assess expected lifecycle, annual and order quantity, quality requirements, finishing, assembly, lead time and total cost together—not just the quoted unit price.
Project applications
Parts for testing, motorsport and production equipment
The automotive supply chain extends beyond vehicle components. Test and validation equipment, motorsport programs, production machinery and tooling projects also need custom mechanical parts—often across several processes and quantities.
Multi-SKU bills of materials, repeat orders and projects requiring coordination across suppliers can be a strong fit for our supply-chain model.
Machined components
Brackets, plates, shafts and housings.
Formed metal parts
Sheet metal panels, frames and formed components.
Plastic components
Custom plastic parts and molded components.
Tooling and fixtures
Production tooling and fixture components.
Equipment assemblies and test rigs
Parts for instrumentation and equipment assemblies, including custom components that need machining plus finishing or assembly.
Quality coordination
Match quality requirements to the selected partner
Automotive projects may specify quality systems, material traceability or inspection documentation. When required, BGCNC can match a project with a manufacturing partner that has relevant IATF 16949 capability, subject to certification scope and suitability for the actual work.
Requirements are confirmed per project
Our network also includes partners operating under quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100D and ISO 13485. Certification availability and scope depend on the partner selected; they do not automatically apply to every process or order.
We coordinate with the selected partner against agreed specifications and support quality follow-up as part of production management. Inspection points and required documentation should be defined for each project.
Share your quality expectations early
Include tolerances, inspection needs, traceability or certification requirements so we can assess partner fit and plan the appropriate manufacturing route.
A practical sourcing fit
Support for overseas automotive buyers
BGCNC supports overseas B2B companies seeking custom parts from China and valuing communication, quality coordination and dependable supply—not simply the lowest unit price.
- Automotive R&D and product-development teams
- Vehicle-component and hardware companies
- Motorsport and racing businesses
- Testing-equipment and instrumentation manufacturers
- Automotive production-equipment and machinery suppliers
- Overseas manufacturers seeking China-based sourcing capacity
