Industrial Automation

Industrial Automation Manufacturing for Custom Equipment and Production Lines

Industrial automation projects rely on a wide range of custom components—and the parts list rarely stays fixed for long. New equipment designs, line changes and ongoing revisions can leave engineering and purchasing teams coordinating several suppliers for CNC parts, sheet metal, welding, plastics and finishing.

At BGCNC, we coordinate those manufacturing needs through one China-based team. Our network of 50+ proven manufacturing partners and experienced engineering team helps automation equipment manufacturers and line integrators source custom parts, manage production and keep supplier coordination from consuming time better spent on design and delivery.

Custom machined and fabricated components for industrial automation equipment and production lines

Custom parts for automation equipment and production lines

We support manufacturers of automation equipment, non-standard machinery, robotics, packaging systems, testing equipment and integrated production lines. Typical projects involve multiple custom parts, different processes and repeat orders in low to medium quantities.

CNC machining

3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis milling, turning, EDM and grinding.

Sheet metal fabrication

Laser cutting, bending and welding.

Plastic manufacturing

CNC plastic machining, 3D printing, injection molding and tooling.

Additional processes

Die casting, forging, stamping, extrusion and investment casting.

Finishing and downstream work

Surface finishing, heat treatment, assembly and packaging.

Depending on the design and order volume, we can coordinate individual processes or manage a mixed-process project across multiple suppliers. Our role is to match each part to suitable manufacturing resources—not to force every component into one factory’s capabilities.

Discuss your project

One point of coordination for multi-SKU sourcing

An automation BOM may include precision plates, brackets, shafts, frames, guards, housings and custom plastic components. Those parts can call for different materials, processes, finishes and inspection requirements. Managing every supplier separately adds communication and follow-up work for engineers and purchasing teams.

We provide one BG CNC team to coordinate engineering, supplier matching, production, quality and delivery. That gives you a single point of contact for a varied parts package while we manage the manufacturing partners behind it.

How we select and evaluate partners

Our core group of 50+ proven partners has been developed through real project cooperation. We evaluate partners for:

  • Process capability
  • Quality consistency
  • Delivery performance
  • Engineering support
  • Responsiveness
  • Production capacity

When a project calls for a specific process or production setup, we match the work accordingly.

Support for revisions, prototypes and repeat production

Automation equipment is often developed and refined in stages. A bracket may change after installation testing. A machine frame may need updated interfaces. A new line configuration may bring additional part numbers or revised quantities.

Custom manufacturing needs that evolve over time

  • Prototype and development parts
  • High-mix, low- to medium-volume orders
  • Repeat purchases across multiple SKUs
  • Drawing revisions and production updates
  • Coordinated parts packages involving several processes
  • Assembly and packaging requirements

Engineering review that goes beyond feasibility

Our engineering team includes 10 manufacturing engineers, each with more than 10 years of industry experience. We review more than whether a part can be made. We consider process selection, material, geometry, tolerance, volume, tooling, lead time and target cost to help identify a suitable manufacturing approach.

Choose a process that fits the part and production volume

CNC machining is often a practical choice for prototypes, complex geometries and lower-volume orders. As quantities increase, another process may offer a better balance of tooling investment and unit cost. Depending on the part, alternatives could include injection molding, die casting, forging or stamping, sometimes followed by secondary CNC machining.

Our review may look at

  • Whether the specified process fits the part and expected quantity
  • Whether design changes could simplify machining or reduce secondary operations
  • Whether tolerances are appropriate for the part’s function
  • Whether material or surface treatment options can be optimized
  • How tooling costs affect the total cost at different volumes
  • How process choices influence lead time and future production

The goal is to help you make an informed manufacturing decision—not simply quote the drawing as submitted. Final process recommendations depend on the actual part design, requirements and order profile.

Quality requirements and supplier coordination

Quality needs vary by application and customer. We can coordinate inspection and documentation requirements with the manufacturing partner selected for the project. For projects that require material traceability or a certified quality system, we can match customers with suitable partners where available.

We can also support production management, quality inspection, surface finishing coordination, assembly, packaging and international logistics support. The specific scope is agreed for each project.

Certifications across our manufacturing network

ISO 9001
IATF 16949
ISO 13485
AS9100D

Certification availability and scope depend on the selected partner and the work being performed; we confirm the applicable details during project review.

Is BG CNC a fit for your automation project?

We are particularly suited to overseas B2B companies that regularly source custom mechanical parts from China and need help managing more than a single, straightforward order.

Our model can be useful if you

  • Buy multiple custom part numbers for machines or production lines
  • Need a mix of CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, plastics or finishing
  • Place low- to medium-volume orders or recurring purchases
  • Expect design changes during development or ongoing production
  • Want one team to coordinate several China-based suppliers
  • Value communication, delivery reliability and total cost—not only the lowest unit price

We may be less suited to

  • One-off hobby orders
  • Standard off-the-shelf components
  • Projects focused exclusively on the lowest unit price

Frequently asked questions

Request a manufacturing review

Share the drawings or BOM you have, along with your expected quantities, materials, finishes, tolerances and target schedule. If some details are still under development, tell us what is known and where you need support.

We’ll review the requirements, identify the relevant manufacturing processes and discuss a suitable sourcing and production plan. You can start with one part or a broader equipment package.
