Parts that keep equipment and production lines moving
Food machinery BOMs often combine fabricated structures, machined components and polymer parts. We work from customer drawings and requirements—material, finish, tolerances and any food-contact or regulatory requirements should be stated in the RFQ so we can assess the right manufacturing route and supplier.
Fabricated structures
Machine frames, panels, guards and brackets, plus welded subassemblies and sheet metal components.
Hygienic product-contact parts
Hoppers, chutes, covers and equipment enclosures designed for cleanability and washdown.
Machined components
Shafts, plates, rollers, mounts and custom fittings with defined dimensions and interfaces.
Plastic components
Guides, housings and other specified polymer parts via machining, 3D printing or injection molding.
Mixed-process subassemblies
Coordinated sourcing when a build combines fabricated and machined parts across several processes.
Repeat production parts
Same parts across machine builds, revisions and production runs, controlled by agreed drawings and revisions.
Material and design considerations
Corrosion resistance and cleanability depend on the full part design—not just the material. Stainless steel grades such as 304 or 316 may be appropriate for different environments, but the operating conditions and your specifications should determine the selection.
For equipment exposed to washdown, cleaning chemicals, moisture or food residues, consider details such as joints, crevices, drainability, surface finish and accessibility for cleaning. If parts must meet a particular food-contact requirement, identify the applicable standard and documentation needs. We can coordinate to those requirements with a suitable manufacturing partner; compliance and documentation depend on the selected material, process and supplier.
Design details that support hygiene
- Joints and crevices: minimize traps where residues and moisture can collect.
- Drainability: shape surfaces so cleaning liquids and product residues can flow away.
- Surface finish: specify roughness, coating or treatment where it affects cleaning.
- Accessibility: keep areas reachable for inspection and cleaning.
- Documentation: state the applicable standard and required paperwork for food-contact parts.
A manufacturing network for mixed-process BOMs
We coordinate CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, plastic machining, injection molding, surface finishing and assembly through a network of 50+ proven manufacturing partners. Rather than routing every part to one factory, we match each project to manufacturing resources based on geometry, material, tolerances, volume, quality requirements, lead time and target cost.
Sheet metal, laser cutting and welded assemblies
For frames, panels, guards, brackets and enclosures, we coordinate laser cutting, bending and welding. Clear drawings help us assess sheet thickness, bend details, weld locations, assembly interfaces and finish requirements before production.
For stainless fabrications, specify any requirements for weld appearance, post-weld treatment, surface condition and areas that need to remain accessible for cleaning. We can also coordinate finishing operations where the project requires them. Final results depend on the agreed specification and selected production partner. If your BOM includes a fabricated assembly alongside machined mounting features or hardware, we can coordinate those parts as part of the same sourcing and production plan.
One coordinated route for your equipment BOM
Managing separate suppliers for cutting, welding, machining, finishing and assembly can add communication and delivery work to an equipment project. We provide one BGCNC team to coordinate engineering questions, supplier matching, production, quality inspection and delivery.
-

Inspection & logistics
Quality inspection, packaging and international logistics support, with certified quality system or traceability options assessed against project requirements.
Certification availability and scope depend on the manufacturing partner selected.
Choosing the right process as demand changes
A process that suits a prototype may not be the best choice for a recurring production order. We assess design, material, volume, tolerance, tooling investment, unit cost, lead time and product lifecycle together. Our engineers can compare viable routes and identify design changes that may reduce cost without compromising specified function.
Prototypes and small quantities
CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication or 3D printing may be suitable, depending on the part.
Repeat fabricated parts
Laser cutting, bending and welding can support production quantities when the design and assembly requirements fit.
Higher-volume plastic parts
Injection molding may become more practical after evaluating tooling cost against expected volume and unit cost.
Parts with multiple requirements
A combination—such as forging or casting followed by CNC machining—may be worth reviewing for the right geometry and volume.
Built for repeat orders and production support
Food processing equipment manufacturers often need the same parts across machine builds, revisions or production runs. We can coordinate repeat sourcing, production and inspection based on the agreed drawings, revisions and quality requirements.
For effective repeat-order control, provide part numbers, drawing revisions, approved material and finish specifications, and any required inspection or traceability documents. If a design changes, we can review the impact on process, cost and lead time before the next order.
What to include for repeat-order control
- Part numbers and drawing revisions
- Approved material and finish specifications
- Required inspection or traceability documents
- Notification of any design changes before the next order
