Custom manufacturing for laboratory equipment

One manufacturing interface for your mixed equipment BOM.

Coordinate custom stainless steel and aluminum machining, plastics, sheet metal, finishing, and assembly through one BGCNC team. We support prototypes, small batches, multiple versions, and repeat supply.

Send drawings and requirements for a manufacturing review and RFQ. We’ll assess the parts, clarify open questions, and identify suitable production options.

One point of coordination

A single interface for a mixed laboratory equipment BOM

A laboratory assembly may combine machined housings, brackets, panels, shafts, fluid-contact parts, plastic components, and fasteners. Each may need a different process or supplier. Coordinating them separately can increase communication effort and make quality and delivery harder to track.

BGCNC provides one BG CNC manufacturing interface across a network of proven partners. We match each part to an appropriate production source, coordinate engineering questions, and manage agreed inspection, finishing, assembly, and delivery requirements.

Machined components

Housings, mounts, adapters, shafts, plates

CNC-machined stainless steel, aluminum, and engineering plastics.

Fabricated parts

Enclosures, panels, brackets, frames

Laser cutting, bending, welding, and related finishing coordination.

Plastic components

Covers, fixtures, functional parts

CNC plastic machining, 3D printing, or molding depending on the project.

Delivery-ready assemblies

Finishing, assembly, and packaging

Coordinate agreed requirements across processes and suppliers through one team.

Manufacturing capabilities

Choose the process for the part—not the other way around

We assess material, geometry, finish, quantity, and product lifecycle before recommending a route. Not every component should be made by CNC or sent to the same factory.

Milling and turning

For housings, mounts, adapters, shafts, plates, and other precision components.

3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining

For multiple features or orientations that may benefit from consolidated machining.

Materials and details

Review part geometry, tolerance, material, and finish to assess a practical machining plan.

CNC machining may suit prototypes and lower quantities. Injection molding, stamping, or die casting may become more suitable as volumes grow, depending on design, tooling cost, and demand. Some parts may combine a primary process with secondary machining or finishing.

Materials, finish & cleanliness

Define the requirements that matter for each part

Stainless steel may suit corrosion resistance or repeated cleaning; aluminum can support lightweight structures and housings; plastics may serve as covers, insulators, or application-specific components. The suitable choice depends on operating conditions and your drawings and specifications.

Appearance and cleanliness can affect acceptance, so identify critical surfaces, cosmetic zones, cleaning expectations, and contamination or packaging controls in your RFQ. We can coordinate specified finishes, deburring, handling, inspection, and packaging with the selected manufacturing partners. Requirements are defined per part; they are not automatically implied by the word “laboratory.”

What to specify in your RFQ

  • 01Material grade and any material documentation or traceability needs.
  • 02Critical dimensions, functional tolerances, and inspection expectations.
  • 03Surface finish, cosmetic zones, deburring, and handling requirements.
  • 04Cleaning, contamination controls, packaging, and shipment requirements.

Engineering review before production

Practical process decisions, with questions raised early

Our engineers review design, material, tolerance, quantity, tooling, lead time, and expected product lifecycle to help identify workable production options. If a drawing or requirement needs clarification, we raise it rather than relying on assumptions that could affect fit, finish, or delivery.

Function and tolerance

Check whether tolerances are functionally necessary or can be relaxed.

Geometry and setups

Consider whether a feature or setup can be simplified to reduce machining effort.

Material and finish

Review whether the specification suits the component’s intended use.

Volume and lifecycle

Compare process options, operation consolidation, and tooling investment against expected demand.

Built for changing programs

Support for small batches and multiple versions

Equipment programs often move through prototypes, design revisions, validation builds, and repeat production. Quantities and configurations can change between stages. We support high-mix, low- to medium-volume work, including small batches and multiple part numbers.

Include revision identifiers and current drawing files with your RFQ. We can coordinate the agreed version across relevant suppliers and help manage production changes. For ongoing programs, we can also discuss repeat-order planning and the information needed to maintain consistency between batches.

Quality coordination and documentation

We coordinate inspection expectations with the manufacturing partner selected for each process and can support project-specific inspection records, material traceability, or other agreed documentation.

Our broader partner network includes manufacturers with certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100D, IATF 16949, and ISO 13485. Availability and certification scope depend on the partner and work performed. If certification or documentation is mandatory, include it in your RFQ so we can check suitability before quoting.

A fit for complex sourcing

When one manufacturing partner helps most

A coordinated supply-chain model can reduce the effort of managing separate suppliers in China when a program spans processes, materials, and changing requirements.

Mixed processes and materials

Custom parts across several materials and production routes.

Prototype to repeat supply

Prototypes, pilot builds, and recurring small batches.

Multiple versions

Programs with frequent engineering changes or several configurations.

Defined acceptance needs

Consistent appearance, cleanliness practices, or inspection documentation.

Additional production capacity

Support for laboratory, analytical, and testing equipment manufacturers, as well as machinery manufacturers, engineering companies, and overseas manufacturers seeking China sourcing or production capacity.

Start your RFQ

Send your laboratory equipment requirements

Include available drawings or 3D files, material and finish specifications, quantities by part number, target lead time, and any inspection, traceability, cleanliness, or packaging requirements. If the design is still in development, share the current revision and expected next build stage.

We’ll review the requirements, raise technical questions where needed, and identify suitable manufacturing options.
