Precision SLA 3D Printing for Engineering and Product Development
BGCNC turns CAD files into high-detail, smooth-surface prototypes for design reviews, form-fit checks, aesthetic evaluation, and functional validation. Move from concept to review-ready parts, then scale toward CNC machining or injection molding when the design is ready.
Single prototypes and small batches · Engineering review on every file
25–100 μm
Available layer thickness range
10 engineers
Manufacturing team oversight
Design review
Assess appearance, ergonomics, and intricate geometry before tooling.
Fit and function
Check assemblies, snap-fits, and part interfaces with physical prototypes.
Production pathway
Connect prototype learning to CNC or injection-molded production.
Process and capability
Fine detail, smooth surfaces, informed decisions
Stereolithography uses a UV laser to cure liquid photopolymer resin layer by layer. Its resolution and surface quality make SLA a strong choice for complex housings, ergonomic handles, and detailed assemblies that need to be reviewed before committing to tooling.
Our team manages the workflow from file preparation through post-processing, with dimensional inspection to support assembly testing against your specified requirements.
01 / Resolution
High-resolution output
Layer thicknesses from 25 to 100 microns support fine features and detailed visual prototypes.
02 / Material
Resins for different needs
Choose from standard, tough, heat-resistant, and clear resins to suit the intended evaluation.
03 / Finish
In-house post-processing
Finishing options include support removal, sanding, bead blasting, painting, and clear coating.
04 / Inspection
Dimensional review
Inspection protocols help ensure parts meet specified tolerances for assembly and design testing.
Choose a resin with purpose
Match material and finish to the test
Resin choice affects how a prototype performs and what you can learn from it. Share the part’s intended use and our engineers can help recommend a material path.
For appearance and form checks
Standard resins are suited to visual prototypes and non-load-bearing models. Use them to review shape, surface appearance, and general fit.
For functional evaluation
Tough or durable resins are a better fit for functional testing, snap-fit features, and parts that need impact resistance.
For thermal testing
High-temperature resins are intended for parts exposed to thermal testing or short-term heat. Share the expected conditions when requesting a quote.
For visibility through the part
Clear resins can support flow visualization, inspection of internal components, and aesthetic lighting applications.
Wall thickness and geometry
Review wall thickness, draft angles, and intricate features during CAD design.
Orientation and strength
Discuss build orientation in relation to part accuracy and the direction of expected loads.
Finish expectations
Specify whether parts should be supplied raw, sanded, painted, or clear coated.
Every file receives a DFM (Design for Manufacturing) review to identify potential build issues before production begins.
From prototype to production
A practical next step when your design is ready
SLA prototypes often help teams make decisions before investing in production tooling. As quantities and performance needs change, BGCNC can evaluate the part geometry and volume to identify a suitable manufacturing route.
SLA prototypes
Review high-detail parts, check fit, and refine the design with single units or small batches.
CNC machining
Consider CNC for higher-strength metal or plastic components as requirements evolve.
Injection molding
For higher-volume plastic parts, bridge tooling can help manage the transition and costs.
One coordinated workflow
Technical support and supply chain management
Engineer-led project review
A team of 10 manufacturing engineers provides technical feedback so parts are better matched to their intended purpose. For projects with specific quality standards, we coordinate with partners who can maintain traceability and documentation.
Consolidated production
As your primary interface in China, we help reduce the complexity of managing multiple vendors. SLA parts, CNC-machined inserts, and custom hardware can be coordinated through one production and inspection workflow.
